Cabin Fever

Have you ever had that certain feeling when you've stayed too long in one place and with the same set of people, that you just feel so restless and you want to go as far away possible or at least spend time with different people? Well, due to Egay (the storm) & Mr. Ninoy (the hero), there were no classes for almost a week now. I should've been celebrating and happy for the free time and rest that I'm getting, plus the really cool weather. Instead, rather than acting all appreciative like my other friends, I experienced a major case of CABIN FEVER!

According to our best friend, Wikipedia.com, CABIN FEVER is a condition that produces restlessness and irritability caused from being in a confined space. The actual word is a slang term for a claustrophobic reaction that takes place when a party is isolated and/or shut in together for an extended period of time.

Last Friday, i was really itching to get out of the house. I couldn't accept the fact that I'd been home for 3 days straight and would continue to be stuck with the same set of people until Monday. So, despite this...

and this...

...nothing could stop me.

I bolted out of the province called Paranaque. Invited all my friends for a little get together in Metrowalk. And, cured myself off of the fever.

Happy Birthday Ma

This is a pic of my Mom's 47th Birthday cake!
Kaso ayan, na-baboy na ng aking favorite niece na si Arnie!
Ginawa niya yan before mag-blow ng cake mom ko, before the party!
Astig noh! Todo props eh!
May kandila pa na nilagay at nag-blow pa sya ng cake!
Talo pa mama ko!

Meet Arthur

This is the latest addition to our crazy family... a 7 month old, male Chihuahua puppydog.

Arnie named him Arthur because we just finished watching "Arthur and the Invisibles" last night. And, since that cute character is such a tiny hero in that movie, I have a pretty good feeling with our own little Arthur.

(Ain't he cute? After just an hour, he already smiles like the rest of the family! Haha)

Now THAT's Trapo Clutter!

Wow! Now this is Advertising Clutter!!! Look at that! How would you even know who to vote with that much ads in one vacant lot?

This is the one in front of Jollibee, along Doña Soledad (Parañaque). There are actually 3 of those in that one long street. Poor vacant lots, violated from their purity. From what used to be clean and neatly trimmed grasses, is now inhabited by this jungle of political ads.

And if you think that's enough...
After just one turn, the next street is yet again full of these political ads. And it's even longer! Talk about a full campaign making sure everything gets covered!
It's covered all right!

What I'm fighting for is my freedom for a beautiful summer sky and warm summer breeze! Ugh! I can't even enjoy summer here with all these ugliness! I wish Elections would end soon and that it would be a successful one!

PS: Hayyy... My dearest fellowmen, when will we learn? Don't you love our beautiful country? Why do you always sacrifice your principles for a couple of "Ninoy's" from these guys? And still endlessly complain about them in rallies. Act now or sacrifice another ugly summer later on. I wish there will be a limit or ban to all this political ads. Whomever has power, please make regulations soon. I wish more people can do ads like the one Nation Paint did. The one where the wall was talking to the one putting on political ads. I really love that. As for me, I am very excited to vote for the first time. I might as well practice my right after falling in line for 10 straight hours last December for Registration of Voters. And, as soon as I get a land a job in one of those agencies, I will try my best to lessen the ugliness! Promise!
